Phoenix Int'l Raceway 7602 S. Avondale Blvd. Avondale, AZ 85323 (map) |
Featuring a unique "kink" in the backstretch that serves to tighten up the backstretch and limit passing... is just one of the many joys of the Phoenix International Raceway.
Upon arriving at turn one – the NASCAR drivers will reach a sharp bank of 11 degrees, while turns 3 and 4 are long and sweeping with just 9 degrees of banking. These challenging specs mean that the car has to handle well in order to survive a long 500 kilometer race at Phoenix International Raceway.
During Spring of 2005, Phoenix International Raceway became the first NASCAR race to have a night time race. The facilities are clean and the desert setting is beautiful. Phoenix Raceway is one NASCAR destination you should see for yourself!
